Buying and Selling Real Estate in Upper Deer Valley
Deer Valley is one of the major reasons I choose to sell real estate in the Park City area. I love the architecture of the mountain luxury ski properties of DV. As a local Realtor, I spend an ample amount of time helping out of state buyers better understand the local real estate market. There are different areas of DV that will work best for you. When searching for a ski home in Park City it's important to understand the ski access, views, future development, amenities, HOA dues, and what other properties may soon be coming on the market. If you're considering selling your ski property I suggest you review our Park City sellers page.
Derrik Carlson is a local Realtor that can help you buy or sell your Park City ski property. If you are considering buying or selling real estate in the Deer Valley area within the next few years please reach out to me so we can discuss the local real estate market.
Upper Deer Valley is centered around Silver Lake and provides mid-mountain access to skiing for ski homes and condos. Silver Lake provides several great restaurants and the best seafood buffet in the state at Stein Eriksen Lodge. You can also tune up the skis or bikes at Jans, Christy Sports, Ski 'N See. While everyone knows the skiing is great in the winters they may not know that the cool summers of Park City are just as fabulous. Relaxing in Deer Valley looking out all directions you have great views while being surrounded by large pine or aspen trees. This area of town may be one of the most peaceful places on earth while still close to civilization.
A Quick Real Estate Story - I've worked with several buyers in Deer Valley that don't ski or have never skied in Utah. They have spent the summers here and love it so much that they decided that Park City is the right fit for them. There is not a "normal" buyer for Park City - some of my clients have purchased a property on their first trip to Park City while others have been coming here for years and have finally decided to relocate to Deer Valley after years of staying in rentals. The buying process should be fun and easy, sometimes we find that perfect property on the first day while other buyers take a little longer and come to town multiple times before purchasing a property.
Finding Your Deer Valley Home
Alta Vista is gated with great views and near the ski run but not ski-in-ski-out. American Flag homes have amazing views and some homes are ski-in-ski-out while others are a short walk to ski access. Bald Eagle Club is a luxurious gated neighborhood of ski-in-ski-out homes. The Belles homes provide ski-in-ski-out access to Deer Valley Resort and were all built by the same developer which named the neighborhoods Bellearbor, Bellemont, Belleterre, and Bellevue. The Cottages are behind Knoll Estates and a short walk to Silver Lake. Evergreen offers ski-in-ski-out luxury homes. The great thing about the Evergreen neighborhood is there are no HOA dues. Knoll Estates and Knollheim is a smaller neighborhood of single-family homes that provide an easy walk to Silver Lake.
