By a great deal, I mean I've had multiple appraisals come in 10% higher, or $300,000+, than the purchase price. Unfortiently, I'm not able to do that on every transaction.

Different areas of town have different feelings. I've had buyers tell me they were certain they wanted to buy a specific property or in a specific development before they came to town but once I helped them better understand real estate in Park City they completely changed what they wanted. Deer Valley Condos for Sale:

Condos in Deer Valley resort are known for their easy access to skiing. While not every condo is slopeside, they will be only a few minutes from the chairlifts.

If you are searching for a ski condo you will most likely want to be in the Deer Valley, Old Town, or The Canyons Village areas. Deer Valley offers a wide variety of condos with a very wide price range. The Deer Valley Resort Area includes Lower Deer Valley, Upper Deer Valley, Empire Pass, and Deer Crest.

If you are in need of a turn-key luxury condo in Deer Valley I would suggest St. Regis, The Montage, Stein Eriksen Residences, or One Empire Pass. If you are searching for light amenities then Ridge Point may be a nice fit with the ski accessibility or Deer Lake Village for the peacefulness and views.  There are approximately 100 subdivisions within Deer Valley and some condos are large enough that they start to feel like a single-family home. Old Town Condos for Sale in Park City, Utah: 

Old Town condos offer the charm of the old Park City with great access to Main St. and walkability to restaurants. Old Town starts at Thaynes Canyon's Drive and runs all the way to the area past the roundabout on your way up to Deer Valley.   

Ski access in Old Town can either be via the Town Lift or by Park City Mountain Resort. The development in Old Town is pretty much complete with the exception of the new development of Kings Crown.

The smaller condos in Old Town tend to have the highest rate of returns for investors. The Old Town area works best for year-round visitors because if someone doesn't partake in winter sports but still wants to vacation in Park City, this is a spot that is close to shopping, dining, and nightlife.

  

The Canyons Village Condos for Sale | Park City, Utah:

The Canyons condos offer a unique set of circumstances with Vail acquiring the resort a few years back, by combining Park City Mountain Resort and The Canyons Village, it became the largest ski resort in North America.

Owners like to jump on the bus in the morning and head up to Park City Mountain Resort and ski back to their condo at The Canyons Village. The condominiums within the heart of the resort offer true ski-in-ski-out accommodations or they are a very short walk to the slopes.

The Canyons Village offers the largest selection of newly built condos in Park City. Most of the condominiums located within the area have a 2% transfer fee that goes back into the RVMA fund to keep the community maintained.

If you're looking for a luxury condo in The Canyons Village the Pendry Residences and Apex are both great choices. There are also new condos in Fairway Village and Frostwood that will allow you to be close to the ski resort and a little off the beaten path. 

 

What Are Some Great Areas in Park City to Own a Condo?

If you're looking to move to Park City full time or to own a condo in Park City and skiing isn't the number one priority there are other great options. The condos in Aerie are April Mountain and Overlook which will provide great views of Park City and will allow you the ability to be very close to Old Town.

One of the favorite areas for long-time visitors to Park City is the Park Meadows area. Park Meadows offers you the ability to relax near a golf course and soak up the summer beauty of Park City.

Kimball Junction has been a great spot for weekend warriors who want the Park City life but would still like to be near easy access to Salt Lake City and the airport. Jeremy Ranch and Pinebrook are areas more focused on the full-time residences that still may have ties to Park City and allow for easy commutes.

Lastly, if you're looking for condos with long views of a lake and ski resort take a peek at the condo listings in the Jordanelle area. The links for all the areas mentioned in this paragraph can be found at the top of this page.
