Mayflower Ski Resort Information

First thing first, lifts are estimated to be open for the winter of 2024.

Mayflower Resort Real Estate and Marcella offer the first opportunity to buy into a major ski resort in America since 1981, nearly 40 years. There is a private/public aspect to the approval of the Mayflower real estate project, and the developer is required to complete the development in eight years. While the resort plans a soft opening, retail space is projected for late 2025.

The Extell Development team is working with the Military Installation Development Authority to build a Five Star luxury property with three hotels. At a minimum, 100 on-site hotel rooms will offer military members a discount. In addition, the 70,000-sq-ft convention center will have a ski beach and a ski school at the base.

An additional 60 listings will be available at Mayflower Ski Resort in 2022/2023. The developer has built ski-in-ski-out apartments that they intend to retain for rentals. Tenants may be moving into the property by fall 2022.

Seventy homes have been approved in the Galena Three plat by the governing board of the Military Installment Development Authority. The first phase will be nine lots, one of the lots will be used for the clubhouse location.

Extell Development, the master developer, has agreed to build 50 miles of summer trails at the ski resort; five miles will open in 2022 for hiking and biking.

In total, Mayflower Ski Resort is 6,000+ acres and has planned twelve chairlifts with two-stage gondolas to access 4,300 skiable acres and 3,200 feet of vertical skiing. The design of the skiing experience is for beginners to experts.

A direct high-speed lift is planned to access Deer Valley Resort. In addition, state-of-the-art equipment will allow snowmaking at higher temperatures than traditional snowmaking.

Similar to Empire Pass and the Talisker Club, Mayflower Resort will have a Club aspect that provides members ski-in-ski-out residences in the winter and a separate golf course experience for summer activities.

Resort Location - Mayflower

The Mayflower Resort is 12 minutes from downtown Park City, Utah, south of the Jordanelle Gondola, and off US-40, on the backside of Deer Valley. If you're looking to view the property, the Salt Lake International Airport is 40 minutes away, while the private airport in Heber City is 20 minutes from the property.

Mayflower Mountain Resort Skier Club

While Extell Utah Development is still working out some of the ski and golf club aspects, we know that there will be a total of 500 members for a golf course to be designed by Tiger Woods. Unlike Canyons Resort, the ski component will be off-site and closer to the area of Victory Ranch than Park City.

Marcella Ski Parcels for Sale

Mayflower Park City properties are just now offered for sale at Marcella.

Marcella Ski and Golf Community are the first real estate listings available for purchase in Mayflower Mountain. This neighborhood consists of approximately 151 single-family estate parcels that allow ski-in-ski-out custom homes. The lots are on the hillside adjoining Deer Valley Resort.

The parcels of land offer views of the Jordanelle Reservoir, the Uinta Mountains, and the newest ski resort in North America. Private and public ski trails can easily access skiing throughout the community. The summer months provide activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and enjoying watersports at Jordanelle.

Marcella will be near the well-thought-out ski village at the ski resort's base. The resort will feature the largest ski beach in North America and be a world-renowned ski destination.

Rentals are allowed within the community. However, rentals are limited to a thirty-day minimum.

Building in Marcella

The roads may finish as early as fall 2022. However, the Design Guidelines, which govern square feet, floor plans, and the home's exterior, are currently being finalized. The developers of Marcella do not require owners to begin the building process on a set timeline.

Marcella Amenities

Access to the newest amenities in the Park City area comes with a new ski resort. Mayflower Resort will offer several different dining options, spas, ski rentals, and retail space.

The Mayflower Mountain Resort Skier Club will provide world-class services to skiers, valet, dining, and a member's lounge. Members will also have private access to boating on the Jordanelle State Park and Reservoir.

There will be a private shuttle service to access amenities, including private ski and golf excursions and the Salt Lake City International Airport.

Marcella HOA Dues

While there will not be HOA dues for 2022, current estimates put the 2023 dues at $2,000 per lot. The dues assume snowmaking and maintenance on private trails for 2023. This scenario is not very likely, and the HOA will determine the 2023 HOA fee at a future meeting.
