Things to Know About Park City Property Taxes

If you are starting your Park City real estate search it is good to know about local property taxes. Primary residences are taxed at 55% of assessed value while secondary homes are taxed at 100% of assessed value. The asset value of the property does not change upon closing because the closing price is not reported to the Summit County Assessor. However, the Assessor's office does reassess the property's value every year with a statistic formula and the Assessor is required to visit the property every five years for an updated evaluation.
