Here is February's list of the best things to do in Park City, Midway and Heber.  Let me know if I've missed something you love and I'll add it in.  

Park City Film Series.  Films showing all month at the Park City Library.  Click the link to view their calendar.  FREE.

Escape Room Park City.  Open all Month.  

Park City Library story time running all month.  Offering Baby and Me, Music and Movement, Toddler Times, LEGO Club, Book Club, Paws to Read.  Click link to view the calendar with complete monthly details. FREE

Wasatch County Library.  FREE.  Ongoing programs for babies, toddlers, preschools with the wonderful Ms. Sally.  Check their calendar for all program times. 

Foodtruck by Firelight.  Heber City is hosting Food Trucks by Firelight every Monday, Friday and Saturday night at the Heber City fire pit. Each night will showcase a different local food truck, a warm fire, and a stellar atmosphere. The firepit is between 25 N and 75 N Main Street. Bring you mallows and smore stix.   

Nature's Ninjas.  February 1 - April 28 at Swaner Preserve and Ecocenter.  Wednesdays - Sundays 10- 4.  Thursdays 10-6.  Adults-$9/Children(3-12yrs)-$5/2and under-Free/Members-Free.

Cheese tasting at Heber Valley Artisan Cheese.  February 8.  6-7:30.  $20. Become cheese connoisseur for the evening. Try fresh, new flavors, before they are released on the market. Enjoy some one-on-one time with our staff and cheesemakers. You’ll even get a behind-the-scenes tour to understand our business. After you try your cheese – enjoy three local pairings: small bites of our cheese paired with other local products: jams, chocolate, and balsamic. Theses pairings are focused on delighting the seasonality of your palate. This experience is perfect for families, couples or a group of friends.

Ice Fishing Tournament at Jordanelle.  February 9.  7 a.m. to 2 p.m.  $10 Adults/ $5 Children.  Come join us for a day of fun on the ice! There will be two divisions for this trout tournament: adult and youth (15 and under). Over $2,000 in prizes! 

Princess and Pirate train at Heber Valley Railroad.  February 9.  11-12:30.  $15 a ticket.  This fun 90 minute round trip includes pink lemonade in tea cup and cupcakes, a visit with Anna, Elsa, and Bellle, and Rapunzel on board, and sing-along fun. Wear your princess, or pirate costume and come and have some fun! Tickets are just $15 for everyone. 

Snowshoe Tree Hike at Wasatch State Park.  February 9.  10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  There is a suggested donation of $10 for the tour. There is a $2 fee to get into the park & you can rent snowshoes for $3. All abilities welcome!

Ski Break Camp.  February 19- 22.  9 a.m.- 4 p.m.  For students in 1st-5th grade.  Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter is excited to offer 4 days of fun, outdoor camp during the Park City February Break. Campers will adventure on snowshoes, learn about animals in the winter, try their hand at snow science, and more.

FIS World Championship.  February 1-10.  11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  All events are FREE and open to the public.  The world’s best freestyle skiers come together this winter for the 2019 FIS Freestyle Ski World Championships as Park City/Canyons Ski Resort. Watch as competitors twist, fly and race their way to the podium on the same runs used during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Come watch future Olympic athletics as they vie for a spot on their teams.

Ryan Walsh Live at the Peaks Hotel. February 1st.  7-9 p.m.  Join us for live music in our lobby! Dinner, Apps and Drinks are available at Versante Hearth + Bar!

AIARE Avalanche Rescue Course at White Pine Touring.  February 2 and 16th.  8 a.m. - 5 p.m.  AIARE Avalanche Rescue is a one-day stand-alone course that is intended to be retaken on a regular basis in order to keep abreast of best practices in rescue techniques and gear. The Avalanche Rescue Course is a one-day course aimed both at new and experienced recreationists and aspiring snow professionals. New participants will learn the basics of companion rescue, while return participants will expand their skill set with advanced topics and realistic scenario practice to help improve their skills after the course.

Snowshoe Tour of Swaner Preserve.   Saturdays 8:30-10 a.m.  $10 per person | $5 locals | Free for members.  During this tour, you will learn about the history and ecology of the Preserve as well as what kinds of plants and animals you will find on the Swaner Preserve. Additionally, you will have time to search for and identify animal tracks and other signs of wildlife. This outing is appropriate for all ages and will take place on generally flat terrain with a slight uphill grade. Could be challenging for younger children and some seniors.  Snowshoes can be rented from the EcoCenter if needed - $2.50 for members, $5 for non-members

Ladies Beginner Skate Skiing Clinic. by White Pine Touring.  February 5, 12 and 26th.  9:30-11 a.m.  $100 (Clinic only) | $125 (Rental and track pass included). Learning to skate ski is easier than you think when you have professional instructors leading the way. Our local instructors will teach you how to work on balancing on your skis and gliding over the snow, so your technique gets stronger and smoother over the course of the clinic. This ladies-only, four-week course is a great option for those looking to jump into skate skiing. With all of the groomed trails around Park City, it’ll be hard to stop there.

Bruce Cockburn at the Egyptian Theater.  February 7, 8, and 9th.  8:00 p.m.  $35-65.  For 40 years, this Canadian musical legend has been capturing in song the essence of human experience. Bruce Cockburn continues touring in North America in support of Bone On Bone. This will be a solo tour.

The Next Course: Homemade Pasta & Sauces.  February 7.  1-3 p.m. $50 per person + $15 for optional wine pairing.  The Next Course is a tasting class of 3-5 recipes each week with an optional wine pairing, hosted in Mountain Town Olive Oil's beautiful event space on Historic Main Street. You will observe as our chef shares new and different ways to use our oils and & vinegar, as well as helpful recipe hints. You get the recipes to take home as well as a small gift of our products and a discount to shop in the store afterward.

The Sweetheart Gala.  February 9th.  6-11 p.m.  Tickets start at $60 per person.  Park City Education Foundation presents the PC Bands Sweetheart Gala!  Enjoy a catered three-course meal, get unique treasures at the silent auction, listen and dance to Big Band music courtesy of the award-winning PCHS Varsity Jazz Ensemble. Come support PC Bands while you dance the night away with your sweetheart!  

Chris Janson at The Dejoria Center.  February 8th.  8-9:30 p.m.  Tickets start at $35.  Chris Janson is a multi-instrumentalist, award-winning singer/songwriter, and the youngest living member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Beauty and the Beast at Park City Library.  February 11.  4-5:30 p.m.  FREE.  

Mary Wilson of the Supremes at The Egyptian Theater.  February 14-17.  $43-75.  Thursday-Saturday at 08:00 PM, Sunday at 06:00 PM.  Back by popular demand! Founding member of the Supremes, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Mary Wilson is a true 'Supreme Talent' performing with passion on our intimate stage.

IBU World Cup Biathlon at Soldier Hollow. February 14-17. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stadium Seats | General Admission - FREE.  VIP Tickets | Includes food, drinks, and VIP designated viewing areas. Thursday & Friday: $50 per person per day.  Saturday & Sunday: $75 per day | $100 both days.  The International Biathlon Union (IBU) has selected Soldier Hollow Nordic Center as the host venue for the eighth stop on the 2018/2019 World Cup season tour. The IBU World Cup Biathlon tour has nine stops plus the World Championships. This is the first major international biathlon competition to be held at Soldier Hollow since the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

Date Night Delight at Mountain Town Olive Oil.  February 14.  Class starts at 1:00.  $50 per person.  Extra $15 for wine pairing.

Valentine's Day Special Train at Heber Valley Railroad.  February 14.  $50 per person. 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bring your sweetheart on our Valentine's Special - evening train. Your ticket includes cozy seating, a rose for her, a selection of delicious light food, cheese from Heber Valley Artisan Cheese, fruit, and great chocolate. Sparkling cider, soft drinks and bottled water also included. You'll be entertained by talented live musicians on board and have a relaxing and romantic evening on the train. 2 hour round trip. Seating is limited so you can stretch out and relax while we roll down the tracks.

Full Moon at the Farm.  February 15.  6 - 9:30 p.m. $30 per person.  This event includes a delicious dinner and Walt Evans band for your listening and dancing pleasure. The evening ends with a full moon snowshoe tour for beginners, and intermediate/advanced.  Snowshoes provided as needed. 

Romantic Moonlight Snowshoe Hike at Wasatch State Park. February 15. 6:30-9 p.m.  $7 per person/ $6 for snowshoe rentals.  Register at www.friendsofwasatch.org Participants will meet at the Park Visitors Center, 1281 Warm Springs Road, Midway, Utah, 84049 at 6:30 p.m.  There is a minimum age requirement of 8 years old for participation and all children must be accompanied by an adult. No pets are allowed on the hikes.  There will be beginner, intermediate and advanced hikes and people of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. If you can walk, you can learn to snowshoe.

Natalie MacMaster + Donnell Leahy.  February 16.  7:30-9:30.  $29.  Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy have turned to raise a family into an award-winning art form—literally bringing up their six children to live and perform in an infusion of Celtic music and dance. 

Wallace and Gromit.  The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Park City Library.  February 19.  4-5:30.  FREE

Monsters Vs. Aliens.  Park City Library.  February 20.  4-5:30.  FREE.

Skijoring Utah at Soldier Hollow.  February 22 and 23.  10 a.m. - 5 p.m.  $15 a ticket.  Western skijoring is an action-packed competition where a horse and rider pull a skier at a fast pace through a course that includes gates, jumps, and rings.
