My morning meeting went a little long.It was a very educational meeting keeping me up to speed with current and future real estate developments. What I didn't know is that the SLC airport is slated for a $1.5 billion upgrade. That's very good news for Park City because, as you know, how easy to get to Park City and the snow are the most important driving factors for our real estate market. The Canyons side of Park City is slated for an additional lift which will help Vail grow without the lines taking too long. We also went over the development positional (the next 20-30 years) for the future of Park City. The great thing about our growth is that in the early 1970's Park City started with a master plan and future building and growth is well thought out.
One of the areas we have seen growth over the past area is the Promontory area. Promontory provides golf and the most amenities including a fishing pond, hiking trails, soccer field, restaurant, "movie house", small bowling alley, pool, spa, etc. The Glenwild area is a bit more secluded on the golf course and has a clubhouse/amenities as well. One other area that's a little off the beaten path is Victory Ranch. Victory Ranch has golf, great fishing, four-wheeling, trap-shooting, ski lodge right on Main St for Park City skiing, restaurant/bar, etc. There are some off-market opportunities I can get you for Victory Ranch if you are interested.
In the next few weeks, we should see quite a more ski-in-ski-out homes listed for the coming ski season. Old Town might be a good fit for you to be close to skiing and downtown.
Here's the truth about Park City - the summers and fall are absolutely just as amazing as winter! Once most people buy here they tend to stay for a very long time but sometimes upgrade or downsize.
